Hello!! We are trying something different! I will be looking for original posts and comments as we continue our Literature Circles on the Medieval Ages
Do you think that Carlos could have been saved because nobody actually attempted to do something? explain why.
ReplyDeleteI don't think he would have been saved because they didn't have the medical equipment to put him under and take out his appendices.
DeleteI personally think that they did try and do something to help but Dolf knew that he could not be saved because they did not have the right equipment to save him from appendices.
DeleteI don't think they could have saved him because they didn't have the equipment and if they did do anything it wouldn't be sanitary so he would have died from infections later on.
DeleteDo you think the children will actually be saved from being sold into slavery? Why? Why not? explain.
ReplyDeleteI think they will because people like Bertho have complete faith in Dolf and will know that he is telling the truth, the children will then have faith in Bertho and believe him and their plan will be executed.
DeleteI think most of them will because the children are already getting skeptical and most of the adults are making sure it doesn't happen.
DeleteWhy do you think Nicolas actually believed them that he was chosen by God to split the seas? Do you think he was foolish for this? Would you have been suspicious?
ReplyDeleteI think he thought he was chosen because Anselmus and Augustus' plan to hold up a burning cross made it look like God put it there and since they were so religious they would have taken any sign as a sign from God. Yes I do because I feel like there would have been a way to notice that it wasn't God be just a plot. Yes I probably would have been.

DeleteI think that in this era I would have believed because everyone was so close to God and I would think after seeing the cross that it had to be true.
DeleteIf the children got taken to slavery do you think Dolf would try to escape with all the children and save them?
ReplyDeleteI do think that Dolf will try and save the children because he cares so much about them and he would do anything to save them and he wants them to see Jerusalem and he does not want them to be disappointed.
DeleteYes I do think he would try to save them because he's grown to care for them after getting stuck in their time period and he's gotten somewhat used to how things run so I don't think he would give up just yet.

I don’t think that he would be alive. At this time that had such a lack of medical knowledge that nothing would safe him.
DeleteI think that they will because Dolf is help making the plan and hasn’t failed them yet. Even if they don’t I don’t think they will be slaves.
I don't think so because it just happens and their time didn't have advanced knowledge they could perform a makeshift surgery without him dying during it or after a few days our hours.
DeleteI think so because that's how most books end up going and they all have high places so they'll probably be welcomed inside the gates very fast.
I think that nothing could have saved Carlous because of the little knoledge about medical things such as epindicidas
DeleteI think that they will make it but the Duke will do nothing because what will keep him from not believing them Hilda probably looks like a normal child that has been through a long crusade.

ReplyDeleteDo you think that Leonardo will try to convince the Duke not to let the ships leave or do you think he has other plans of his own? Explain.
ReplyDeleteI think that he will. Dolf has lots of power and this task was instructed by Dolf. He wants to keep his friendship.
DeleteI think that Leonardo has nothing to prove what is happening and even if he does prove it what will make the duke stop what is going to happen, it isn't his problem.
DeleteWhy do you think Anselmus was so driven for money and that Augustus changed his ways at the last minute?
ReplyDeleteI think that Augustus saw that kids are good and realized they are innocent and don’t deserve to be sold. I think he realized what would be the right thing to do.
DeleteMoney makes the world go round and when you have the power to get that much money anybody wouild be immediatly filled with gread and would do anything for the money. Augustus realized that it was not worth the money after meeting all the kids and finding out that they had lives and did not deserve what was ahead of them.
